An option whereby once the contract ends, the vehicle will be owned by the customer. Once all of the payments have been finalised, which will include an option to purchase payment, the vehicle can then be acquired. The monthly payments are determined by the amount of deposit initially paid, the period of the contract and the overall price of the vehicle. A typical hire purchase will consist of paying a low deposit, have no mileage restrictions and allow the customer to have eventual ownership of the vehicle. VAT is not accrued but tax allowances do apply.
